DMK allots 63 seat to Congress Katchi

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) president M. Karunanidhi and Tamil Nadu Congress Committee chief K.V. Thangkabalu on Wednesday signed an agreement on sharing of seats, at Anna Arivalayam, DMK headquarters.

The Congress leader told reporters that the agreement for 63 seats was inked on the basis of the talks that the two parties concluded in New Delhi on Tuesday

The two sides, which were staring at each other with clenched fists for the past three days, embraced the agreement at a meeting here on Tuesday evening. The Congress was represented by Pranab Mukherjee, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ahmed Patel. Of the 63 seats, 61 will be from its kitty, while the remaining two will come from the quota of PMK and IUML.
